While the debate over "best intro" is a continuous conversation... this one's up there. Busta Rhymes' third studio album Extinction Level Event - The Final World Front is top-shelf through and through. From the quick-witted, intricate lyricism that Busta is best known, to the solid production work from Nottz, DJ Scratch and Swizz Beatz, among others, this is one of hip-hop LP's you listen all the way through. No skipped tracks. The album follows themes of apocalypse and armaggedon that Busta uses in his first two albums, 1996's The Coming and '97's When Disaster Strikes. The tracks are anthemic at times, with infectious loops and booming drums that'll have your head nodding continuously. From the singles spawned from the album, "Everybody Rise," "Gimme Some More," (with that crazy-weird music video) and "What's It Gonna Be?!" to the other fire tracks - peep "Against All Odds," "Do The Bus A Bus," "What The F*** Ya Want!!" and "This Means War!!" featuring Ozzy Osbourne - this album's a certified classic, and this release doesn't disappoint. Pressed onto 300 heavyweight 180g orange and cream colored vinyl and housed in a textured matte sleeve. 19 tracks in all. Released by Omerta Inc.
