Old Elk 'Roostelk' Straight Wheat Whiskey Single Barrel #7149｜其他商品

Roostelk is a single barrel of Old Elk's Straight Wheat Whiskey — a 95% wheat, 5% malted barley whiskey from the master distiller who ran MGP's stills for decades — bottled uncut from barrel #7149 as a Chips Liquor pick. Old Elk is OtterBox founder Curt Richardson and master distiller Greg Metze in Fort Collins, Colorado; the Straight Wheat is Metze's wheat whiskey — not a wheated bourbon, but wheat as the grain, the way rye whiskey is rye — aged in new charred oak and normally Slow Cut to proof over weeks. This barrel skipped the cut: bottled at its natural strength from barrel #7149, selected by the group and named Roostelk; check your bottle for the proof and age. Drinkhacker on the wheat whiskeys: soft, bready, honeyed, with vanilla and a gentle spice — wheat as grain reads as fresh bread, honey, and cream where rye reads as pepper. Expect a nose of honey, baked bread, and vanilla with light oak, a soft, round, creamy palate of wheat cereal, caramel, and stone fruit with the proof adding weight, and a gentle, warm, lingering finish. Honest note: straight wheat whiskey is a tiny category — Bernheim, Dry Fly, a few craft bottles — and a barrel-proof single barrel from Metze is rarer still; for the drinker who loves wheaters and wants to taste the grain on its own. Neat, a drop of water. Roostelk, #7149.Buy Old Elk Roostelk Straight Wheat Whiskey Single Barrel #7149 online with fast shipping right to your door.
